**Brisbane Suburbs**

Hi everyone, I'd appreciate feedback on Brisbane suburbs please. We're planning to move from Melbourne to Brisbane and in the research stage at the moment. Our criteria is to go with suburbs with good schools, safety, and good socioeconomic demographics. Nice to haves would be elevated views and close to entertainment/cafes/restaurants. If you need a comparison to Melbourne suburbs, think Canterbury, Glen Iris or Ashburton.

I've also read that Northern suburbs are somehow "better" as compared to Southern ones, but I'm keeping an open to mind and keen on hearing your experiences.

Our budget is $1.7M and we're looking for a house which will be our PPOR.

Currently considering Camp Hill and surrounds (but not sure which of those surrounding suburbs to avoid).

Not after a huge parcel of land but something that is reasonably good sized once we have kid(s). I can see us living in a 3 or 4 bedroom home with a pool, we'd be happy with 350 to 400sqm (as an example) for the right home! Not too keen on super-old homes, ideal if they are a few years old or at least recently renovated. Not keen on rural suburbs. Something that's within 12km to the CBD.

Keen to hear your thoughts!

TIA

Camp Hill properties for a nice house/non queenslander/3-4 bedrooms/pool would be closer to $2m at the least as at November 2023.

Camp Hill properties are now going for around $2m for what you are seeking (non-qlder, pool, 3-4 bedrooms).
Coorparoo State School is great - it is where my kids go to. Private high schools are CHAC and Churchie - 2 very good private schools. If you need conveyancing done, check us out at Mint Legal Brisbane

Camp Hill is unsafe. I lived there for 12 years, had 3 crime home breakins
