Where to live in Brisbane?

My partner needs to get to & from the airport regulary & I do not wish to spend any more then 40min getting to work. I have a job near roma street & am a young couple. We like to get out & be close to nightlife but do not want to pay anymore then $400 a week. We would like to be close to public transport & also close but not to close to a highway to venture out on weekends. We want to be at a handy distance to shops.
