Bryn Mawr Boulevard, Berwick, VIC 3806

I love the parklands at either end of the street and we can walk to both Berwick and Beaconsfield shops, Berwick rail, Akoonah market and the kids can walk to school. And did I mention I have the loveliest neighbours!

I moved from Glen Waverley to Bryn Mawr Boulevard and have found it to be safe, clean & well maintained common areas by council. People seem very friendly. Little walking tracks are a bonus with easy access to Berwick town or the train station by foot. The beautiful Akoona Park is handy for dog lovers or avid walkers. And it's only a walk or short drive to shops & lots of cafes.
HOWEVER, the school traffic is out of control. There are regular traffic jams around school drop off & pick up times making accessing the area slow & difficult which is hugely frustrating. Council have tried to fix it apparently but to no avail.
The only other HUGE negative is traffic accessability into and out of Berwick (not in Berwick itself).
Roads are very congested and the infrastructure is woefully inadequate to handle what is an increasing population in the area. Example : it takes me 40 minutes or more to travel 12 kms from Berwick to Dandenong during the week. Weekends are slightly better. But god forbid there's an accident.
We were warned about the traffic before we moved, and I have to say as much as we love Berwick we are considering leaving due to the ridiculous amount of time wasted in traffic.
