"Overrated, but home is home"

Castle hill has become over dense with people. Developers cant fit anymore houses here so they are building up, Unit blocks are a very common in the area and is also the reason for the horrible traffic that local residents face everyday.

Public transport is a hot topic on a lot of the locals lips with there being no other way to the city other then car or bus, bus being an average option but could be a bit more reliable. Castle Hill seems to act like a junction to the hills district and surrounding suburbs which is why weekends see the worst traffic of the week. Hope its not raining or you could spend 30 minutes getting from one side of castle hill to the other.

Castle hill is relatively, although Castle Towers draws a lot of unwanted attention from groups of gangs that tend to enjoy causing trouble to people wandering around the shopping centre alone at night.

Nightlife is something that should be address in Castle Hill and the Hills in general as currently the Towers has the "Piazza" which seems to close way to early in my opinion and for a late night drink your only options are the Hillside Hotel (Be prepared to pay City drink prices) and the Castle Hill RSL which are very unfriendly towards the younger crowds who tend to cause all sorts of trouble on a Friday night. Ideally there needs to be a place open later then 1am on Friday and Saturday nights thats not an RSL club.

Overall Castle Hill was a place I would have loved to live but the recent developments have driven me away. I'm sure this suburb is suitable for single men and women with kids or without.

"Close to Castle Towers"

There are a number of townhouse/house communities on Castle St. 5 min walk to Castle Towers, a great shopping centre, with the piazza for a good restaurant meal. It is also close to Castle Hill RSL Club, which is a great place to have a nice drink on a friday night, but even better the RSL hosts one of the best gym's i've been a member of C2K, which has a great pool and good facilities.

The townhouse complex, I was in was great, it had 80 or so townhouses, and shared a pool and tennis court, but was also a very quiet area though.
