Hi Kailee1994,

There are many activities in Hume City where older
people can get together with people from various
age groups for companionship, recreation and
information.

Exercise, mobility, support and friendships can all
contribute to an overall sense of well being and
maintenance of good health.

Hume City Council provide special programs for
Senior Citizens Week and can advise you about local
community groups.

Hume City Council operates a
community transport service which
is available to frail elderly people and
people with disabilities who have
been assessed as eligible for the multipurpose taxi program, and/or who are
transport disadvantaged.

The community transport service
provides transport to:
• Senior Citizens Centres
• Social Support and Activities Programs
• Group Shopping
• Recreation Options
