Aquarena

I've actually NEVER been to the Aquarena, but I hear the gym is ok. I remember when I was a lot younger my brothers used to go there all the time in summer for the big water slide.

I also remember never wanting to go there because as a kid my mate told me that someone put razor blades in the slide and then someone got cut or something just to scare me...I'm pretty sure that was an urban myth though, as most water slide places have similar stories.

Hey Dargy!

Long time no see. I thought now that we are heading into summer I would ask if you have been\have plans to head to the Aquarena?

I think with the 30+ deg days we have, this might be a good time to check it out!

Hi AJ , Yep Summer is almost here ( although you wouldn't think so at the moment....its freezing !!! )
I think we've all been hibernating over winter but starting to wake up : D

Aquarena will certainly be busy. My frustration with the place is their group exercise classes. Apart from a couple of good instructors, most are so boring and so over it...

Group exercises? Nah I never do group exercises. To me, exercise is a very relaxing personal thing, I hate doing it with other people. It's all about putting on your headphones, listening to some good music, and zoning out :)

And yes summer should already be here! It sucks its taking so long...it's soooo cold right now.

I love Aquarena, my boy is learning to swim there and after trying other places in Bulleen preferred the better facilities. Definitely recommend it.

I didn't look outside but is the waterslide still in action? That was always fun growing up.
