Anyone in Vantage point estate Doreen?

Thinking of buying in that estate as it is the closest to Mernda and Plenty Road. I keep getting mixed reviews of Mernda/Doreen. Some say its best place for a family and others say nothing special, trouble starting & low capital growth as there's hectares left to be subdivided.
Seeing that the house and land works out to be in the low 400's is it better to go in a suburb closer to the city. What are locals thoughts??

Hello, I live in vantage point estate in Doreen, have so for the last 2years; it is a great area to live; however as a 34yo single guy I am questioning why I purchased house and land there - would be great for a family if you had children attending the local schools and involved in local sporting/recreational clubs/groups. I do like vantage point estate as when the train station is built (looks like being 2021) you will be about 10mins walk to it. Also being so close to plenty road would cut about 5-10mins on your already long trip along plenty road.

I would recommend renting there for say 12months before actually buying there - I am honestly considering my options now although I am a home owner there - I would much rather be closer in then I am. Anyway hope this helps you.
