Reviews of Heywood, VIC

"Explore Aboriginal heritage"

It's quite amazing to see the remains of stone huts and fish trips at Lake Condah in Heywood. The remains are evidence of a large Aboriginal community which farmed eels for food and trade. There are plenty of places to explore like the Cobboboonee State Forest, Australia's largest rose farm or the Winda Mara Cultural Centre. A winery is included on the area's 90km wood, wine and roses drive, which is a picturesque drive.
