I recently had a great experience at a small family business on Chadstone Road in Malvern East called Belle Rose. They have the most delicious wood-fired pizza I've had in a long time.

Pizza Gallery on Malvern Road, Glen Iris is also fantastic, with a variety of inventive toppings (such as hamburger or salmon) as well as all the classics.

Il Tempo Pizza in Degraves Street is one of the best pizza places in the CBD. Tazio on Flinders Lane also doesn't make a bad pizza.

You also can't go wrong with the $4 pizzas at Bimbo Deluxe on Brunswick St in Fitzroy. Mon - Fri 12pm - 4pm
Mon - Thur 7pm - 11pm Fri - Sat 7pm - 9pm All Day Sunday

Even though it's pricey (mainly because of it's location), i'm a big fan of 400 Gradi. Amazing traditional wood-fired pizzas.

Kaprica in Carlton (off Lincoln Square) is a must try for pizza aficionados. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but trust me the tasty thin based crispy pizza won't disappoint! It has a rustic feel with handwritten menus, whitewashed walls and mismatched chairs. Note: it's cash only.

DOC in Albert Park should also get a mention on this list ! The best pizza and eating experience in melbourne period.Italian staff, italian pizza makers.Authentic wood fired ovens dishing out well made classics such as Sopressa and San Danielle prosciutto on a bed of San marzano tomato base with buffalo mozzarella and rocket! perfetto and well worth a visit.

I just recently went to Lazerpig on 9/11 Peel St, Collingwood. LOVED that it's not on the main drag but instead tucked away on the corner of a side street. And let me tell you, their wood-oven pizza was to die for.

They had a huge selection of pizza's with all your favourites but a lot of unique offerings too & when I say unique I don't mean too weird to be enjoyable like some places in Melbourne seem to do.

The interiors create such a fun vibe & the location is awesome too. This place is perfect for drinks & pizza with your mates or something a little more happening for date night. PSA, it is loud, so if that type of environment bothers probably best you don't go.

But I'd highly recommend it, this is one of those places that make you feel proud to be a Melbournian & think to yourself, God we've got coolest places to go to.

Happy Pizza eating all!
