Man bitten by a brown snake in Melbourne CBD outside Myer
Just found this gem on TheAge.com.au:
"A cleaner at the Myer department store in Melbourne's CBD has had a lucky escape after he was bitten on the finger by one of the world's deadliest snakes, which remains on the loose in the city."
That's insane and scary at the same time. Although is it just me or does 20cm seem kinda small for a brown snake?

Yes, tiny... brown snakes are usually around a meter long. We had one in our backyard a few years ago... it was giving the neighbour's cat the evil eye.

It is scary to know there are snakes everywhere in Melbourne, even in the CBD. Can't something be done to control this, for the protection of humans and pets??
