Real Estate advice needed for a friend
Hi guys,
A friend of mine is looking to rent around the $220-$260 per week mark. He has been looking in St Kilda, Elwood (looked in Port Melbourne was too expensive) but has found nothing remotely good, and is slowly giving up hope of finding anything decent close to the city. I thought maybe South Melbourne, but can anyone recommend any half decent areas in that rental range. I'm sure some real estate agents would have some good advice here as well.

You could not get a shed or garage for that money in the inner city! You'd be lucky to get a room in a share house for that. Your friend may have to consider areas further from the city.

Yeah that's what he is quickly finding out. The cost is way too high close to the city. The question still remains though, which suburbs he should be looking into.

Depends where he works and socialises - it's better to not spend hours commuting!
