why do people live in parramatta

It is central so two people working in different sides of Sydney or with family in different sides of Sydney can both have a reasonable commute- Parra is within an hour of most employment centres in Sydney. It is also affordable compared to many other areas and has great facilities like a massive park, decent shopping centre, nice long river walks and cycleways, good public transport, health facilities, heritage buildings, etc. It is pretty safe with lots of aspirational migrant families and good schools public and private. You can get to the city in half an hour for a night out and no need for uber with trains. This is more liveable than many other areas of Sydney. If you live on an edge like North or South, then you can really only work closer to those areas or have a very long commute. Best t keep options open and live centrally like Parramatta with a more affordable mortgage, walk along the river for fitness and take more holidays to the sea:-)
