I hear that Glenbrook and Lapstone are great places to check out.
Family orientated and great schools as well.

Yes however houses in the mountains tend to be older. Having looked around the lower blue mountains / leonay / emu plains. We settled in Glenmore Park which has a very family friendly vibe, nice big houses with beautiful yards.

The newest and the bestest suburb in Penrith is surely Jordan Springs. Its so well maintained and has all latest amenities alongwith lakes, parks. Very well maintained suburb.

Jordan Springs seems new and shiny. It's had its issues with sinking houses. It's situated very close to areas such as Cranebrook (across the road) and with building spacing all the way to Ropes Crossing its a skip and jump to Willmot , Shalvey, Tregear which would surely also attract some crime.

Secondly. Stage 3 of Glenmore Park is still in development. Its called Highland Views and offers block sizes > 700sqm (I don't think you will find anything like that in Joran Springs)
