How do you think agents can improve their service?

TOobe perfectly honest, I have only had very good experience with real estate agents EXCEPT on one occasion. Essentially I was looking for a property manager for a rental properties and were speaking to two agents. They both were aware we were talking with different agencies, and we ended up going with the second agency we spoke to. The first agent really lost it at us saying we wasted his time etc. It seemed very inappropriate and we told a lot of people about the bad experience. I don't really understand why people burn their bridges like that?
BUT that's it really, every other dealing I have had has been really good, especially when looking to buy and sell real estate.
Thanks for sharing AJ, as you say you told a lot of people about your bad experience, would have made much more sense if the agent had of said, “I am disappointed that you have chosen the other agent do you think there is anything we could have done to improve our service to you?” If it doesn’t work out with the other agency please give me a call.
I agree, that's what they 'should' have done. But I would also like to hear other peoples experiences as well. It would be fair to say Real Estate agents don't have a 'stellar' reputation as that's because at their heart they are salespeople. And let's be honest, most people don't like salespeople. Obviously we don't want to name names here, but would be interesting to get people's feedback on some of the negative aspects of dealing with agents.
If I have a good experience I will tell 1-2 people if I have a bad experience I will tell 10-20 people =)
I agree, I had a really bad experience at a restaurant once, so bad I was like a faulty towers episode must have told dozens of people, the restaurant has since closed its doors, with social media one bad experience can turn into thousands of people hearing about it.
