Reviews of Riverhills, QLD

"Quiet, safe and great supportive community with everything you need without paying over 500k."

Quiet, safe and great supportive community with everything you need without paying over 500k. Prices are starting to rise in the area and with the new works happening at the highway interchange and Ipswich Rd this is going to be an easier place to travel to and from!

"Green, safe, quiet and family friendly"

Moved in 2017 and bought our first home and have loved every minute living here. Great neighbours, shops and community. Safe, quiet and a variety of well performing schools in the area. Highly recommend.

"Quiet Area great for families"

Riverhills is a quiet suburb in Centenary suburban area.We found the local schools to be very good.State and private options available. Our family have lived here 20 years. It offers lead off dog parks, skate and bmx tracks walking tracks on the river which is lovely for the kids or for exercise . On a negative side public transport is disappointing and hasn't improved in 10 years even though there are numerous bus stops local. Its a long often unreliable service. If u work in the city your best and fastest options are cycle or drive to Darra train station about 10 mins away and commute from there.Traffic can be another issue getting out of riverhills in mornings and afternoons.Even though these are challenges i believe Riverhills is still a great place to raise a family. It safe, friendly peaceful and affordable.

Is there any problems being so close to the prison? I am looking at moving to Riverhills from Auchenflower but want to make sure its safe for my family. Thanks

Riverhills is one of the most family friendly suburbs in Brisbane, the prison is in Wacol and has never been an issue and certainly not a consideration for me when I moved here from Robertson five years ago. The suburb is reasonably flat and very green and has a real community feel. We have never had any safety or security issues whilst we have been here and I am sure it would be the same for you. The state government and local council (Brisbane) are investing millions of dollars on infrastructure in the area, including a green bridge over the river on Sumner Road, major traffic access improvements from Riverhills to the Centenary Highway and vastly improved public transport facilities. There is a good variety of property available from the very affordable to million dollar plus and the value for money in Riverhills is exceptional for an area so close to the CBD.

"Its all here!"

Riverhills is part of the Centenary suburbs which is a great community to be in with everything you need easily only 5 minutes away. My family including my husband and 2 children love our local primary school at Middle Park which is a 2 minute walk from our home.
We have loads of local sports clubs, shopping centres, great cafes and restaurants. There are several schools to choose from including 4 primary, and 1 high school.
There is plenty of green space which we spend a lot of time walking, running or biking, with parks, playgrounds and bush tracks all close by.

"Beautiful, leafy suburb"

Nestled in between Middle Park and Westlake is Riverhills, a very quiet, leafy, friendly area. Very safe at all hours of the day, great school, close to shops and public transport.
