Day trips this New year from Sydney

If you want to get away this Christmas/New Year, try one of these destinations. They are all a short drive from Sydney and worth checking out.

The Grand Pacific Drive
140 kilometres of coastal scenery. The drive starts at the Royal National Park and finishes up in Kiama. This scenic stretch of road is used for many car commercials, easy to see why.

The Blue Mountains Drive
Head to the historic town of Windsor to get to see the Blue Mountains. You can start your trip by exploring the town of Windsor. Watch how the trees turn a tint of blue at the end of the day. Rather romantic.

Rainforest Way
Head on down to the World Heritage-listed rainforests of northern NSW. You can see the peak of Mt Warning, Terania Creek waterfalls and the the villages that are located within the region. Get your Indiana Jones hat and whip to start exploring.
