Top 10 things we love about Templestowe!

1. Land, land, land - unlike most of inner city Melbourne where 10 houses exist on one quarter acre, you can still find acres here.
2. Green - no it's not the sticks as most people think, but you get plenty of fresh air and trees.
3. Proximity to the city - we're still only 30 minutes down the freeway, yet you feel like your out of the hussle/bussle.
4. Doncaster Shoppingtown - will be arguably the best shopping centre in all of Melbourne when completed.
5. Great schools - mostly primary schools but all highly rated.
6. Parks - Ruffy Lake, Westerfolds - these are some of the best in the state for recreational activities.
7. Traffic - non existent. Compare to some places like Camberwell, Toorak etc where it takes 10 minutes to move 2 kms.
8. House prices - while not cheap, prices are still reasonable for what you get. Acre in Templestow can be had for $800k, acre in Toorak $10 million
9. Restaurants - we have some of the best Chinese, Italian and Greek restaurants in town (Plume, Golden Dragon etc)
10.Friendly people - dont see so many snobby people as you do closer to town. People very nice - not busybodies either.

I'm a Doncaster resident but we love Westerfold Park. We always have a bbq there in summer. You can also get down to the Yarra and see the people canoeing.
Wow some good people here in Templestowe.
My list as follows:
1. Fresh air - don't underestimate how clean the air is out here, it's beautiful
2. No Traffic - apart from the occasional hoons on Serpells Rd, there is no traffic
3. Massive blocks of land - value for money as well
4. Great parks - Westerfolds Park and Ruffey Lake park are gorgeous.
5. Andersons Street coffee and restaurants - It's my favourite street in all of Templestowe.
6. Peace from your neighbours - They are there for a chat if you want, otherwise they will leave you alone.
I have always love Templestowe !!!!
Love those houses aka mansions on the other side of Old Warrandyle, Newsland and Templestowe Road namely Webster Road, Edwin, lomic etc. Always take my mum for a ride there........oh so grandeur yet serene....
