What's the commute like to Toowoomba?

Am looking at taking a job in Toowoomba. I currently live and work in Bardon and my partner is at RAAF base Amberley. I'm not too keen on moving to Ipswitch, so thought maybe we should try Springfield Lakes. It's roughly an hour and a half each way - does or has anyone done this kind of daily commute before? Just trying to figure out if it's sustainable or not?

I live in Ipswich and work full time in Toowoomba. The drive is about 60mins. I have been doing it for almost a year. I am only working in a Toowoomba for a year. I have found it tiring but possible. The traffic is usually great and I have never experienced a traffic jam. Be aware of motorists who do not know that the right lane is for overtaking and also be aware of wildlife, especially when driving at dusk. I would recommend a very good car with radar cruise control and lane assist. Better still, get a car that practically drives itself (eg Tesla). I would not do the drive for more than a year however. After almost 12 months I am totally over it and getting fatigued. May I also say that Ipswich has some very nice areas (nicer than Spingfield). Examples of good suburbs in Ipswich are those around the Hospital, Sadliers Crossing and Woodend. I wouldnt drive to Tooowoba everyday from Springfield. 90mins one way is too much in my opinion.
