"Best Neighbours!"

I moved here in 2017 and can honestly say I am staying as long as my neighbours do! They have been so welcoming, helpful, friendly and gone out of their way to make me love where I live! I grew up on a main road so never got to enjoy the benefits of great neighbours, but I can honestly say it changes everything! It's close to everything and safe, bordering Springfield & East Gosford.

Bay View Avenue

"Bay or Bush View"

Aptly names, Bay View Avenue in East Gosford offers views over Caroline Bay, but down the other end it also gives you a bush retreat with many pole homes built to take advantage of the sloping blocks surrounded by Rumbulara Reserve. The team at LJ Hooker Gosford & East Gosford have helped many people find their new home, be it for sale to purchase or to rent in this lovely street.

Great for

  • Views
  • Friendly Neighbours
  • Local Traffic Only (cul-de-sac)

Not great for

  • Lack of curb & guttering
  • Steep blocks, no level yard for kids
  • Steep walk home

Althorp Street

"All sport on Althorp!"

As you turn off at the start of East Gosford Shops, just after the pedestrian overpass, you will start at St Patrick's Church and continue down Althorp Street past Cafe Jam on the corner with parking lot opposite, White + Dickson Architects, WT Martin Accountants & Extreme Hair Salon. If you bank with Westpac, there is also an easily accessible ATM for you. There is a mix of villa's and townhouses on Althorp Street all the way to Hylton Moore Oval which takes up one side of the street with it's soccer, scouts, cricket, football and comfortable amenities to support the crowds on weekends.

Great for

  • Level walk to all conveniences
  • Choice of older or new properties
  • Great for sport lovers

Not great for

  • Increased traffic on weekends
  • Noise from sporting events
  • Thoroughfare or "back way" for locals avoiding main roads

White Street

"Old Vs New"

It is arguable to say there is a "new side" and an "old side"to White Street in East Gosford. To the North of Henry Parry Drive, a main road that takes you from Wyoming, through Gosford to East Gosford, are older freestanding homes with longstanding occupant. To the South, closer to the shops, is a mix of older and newly built units and townhouses. Both are walking distance to shops, buses and restaurants though you my not enjoy the main road routes, either way you go.

Great for

  • Close to shops, transport & restaurants
  • Brand new properties

Not great for

  • Minimal on street parking
  • Construction currently ongoing

Rubie Crescent

"Leafy Luxury"

Rubie Crescent is a quite cul-de-sac situated on the high-side, amongst the trees of Rumbulara Reserve. Ideal for those wanting a home they can come home to after a long day and relax, whilst still being close to both Erina Fair & smaller shops. There are only 16 homes in Rubie Crescent, making it quite a tightly held street.

Great for

  • Bush Outlook
  • Friendly Neighbours

Not great for

  • Mosquitos
  • Steep Walk

Gosford
Editors Choice

"The Capital Of The Central Coast"

The Central Coast lies between the State's two main centres, Sydney and Newcastle and many call Gosford its 'capital'. The 'Coast' itself, as the locals refer to it, has a population of around 200,000. Residents enjoy a relaxed lifestyle that comes from living with 43 Sandy Beaches, State Forests and National Parks. Gosford CBD is an important commercial center and is still close enough to Sydney to allow daily commuting. In fact, approximately 30,000 people commute from the Central Coast to Sydney each day.

A favourite scenic spot in Gosford is President Hill, which offers magnificent views out over Brisbane Water. We also have some of Australia's best beaches within 20 minutes drive and who could fail to mention the gorgeous Gosford Waterfront, which so many have snapped a photograph of at sunset, sunrise and everything in between. Search #gosfordwaterfront on Instagram to see the photos!

Gosford has one major shopping mall, 'The Imperial Centre' which has just been renovated to include many specialty shops as well as the necessities. Nearby is the ever-popular 'Kibble Park' that sees children enjoying the equipment, workers soaking up the sun on the deck chairs on their lunch breaks and early risers getting in their morning yoga stretch before the hustle and bustle breaks the peace.

Dining out in Gosford offers a good choice from cafes to bistros and right up to formal dining and a variety of options for functions big and small. Gosford has its own train station and the service is both frequent and fast.

Great for

  • Just moments from station & shops
  • The easy access to Sydney & Newcastle
  • Affordability
  • Mixed age group
  • Upcoming waterfront development

Not great for

  • CBD needs more taxies
  • Could do with new restaurant - Modern
  • Main Street could do with a facelift
