"Pretty Good Actually"
This suburb gets a bad rap, but as an owner/occupier, I can say that it is definitely on the improve. SO close to the city! Public transport is a breeze, and a focus on the parks in the area for the kids. Weekends are pretty quiet in the area too. If you work night shift and need to sleep during daylight hours, then this area is definitely the place for you! Banyule are working hard to clean the area up, and rates are really low. We have enjoyed a very comfortable life here for more than 5 years, a great way to get us on the property ladder! Totally agree that this suburb will one day be a big name!

"Close to the city"
Steadily improving neighbourhood. Council are demolishing the older commission homes.
More first home buyers/young couples as elderly couples move on. Excellent parks, real draw card for kids. Bike tracks that go straight into city. Really quiet throughout day/weekends-limited traffic noise. Very central area-close to/ easy access to the freeways/Ring road.
