Boomerang Rd

"Sloping Road Close to University"

Boomerang Road is within walking distance of the University of Queensland, and is therefore a perfect place for students to live. It is not very busy, especially when considering it joins on to Carmody Road in the north and Hawken Drive in the south.

The Hawken Drive Village is towards the southern end and contains heaps of shops. There is a Coles, a bottle shop, dry cleaners, a newsagent, as well as some great restaurants and a cafe.

Lambert Road

"Perfect for Kids"

Lambert Rd has two major schools along it, and considering that is not very busy. Naturally there is a lot of traffic when school starts and ends, but at other times it is quite a peaceful place.

The Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is a short drive away, and is the major shopping centre in the area.

Belgrave Road

"Very Busy Indooroopilly Road"

Belgrave Road is one of the few streets corssing the railway at Indooroopilly. It is very close to the Indooroopilly Railway State, so it has plenty of public transport opportunities.

The Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is at the end of the street which is perfect for shopping or job options. There is always a lot of traffic from shoppers.

Meiers Road

"Close to the Indooroopilly Golf Course"

The Indooroopilly Golf Course is the most presitigous golf course in Brisbane and with 36 holes it is perfect for any enthusiast. There can be some traffic issues from all the golfers driving through.

The houses are very nice, and are mostly new or newly renovated.

Joyce Street

"Next to Hospital"

Joyce Street is the closest street to the Toowoomba Base Hospital, so it is perfect for visiting sick friends or relatives. There can be some traffic from hospital visitors.

There is also a great park nearby with a lake, which is great for afternoon walks or runs.

Vacy Street

"Bordering High School and Shopping Centre"

Vacy Street borders both the Glennie College and the Clifford Gardens shopping centre. There are grocery stores, banks, and electronics galore.

There can be some traffic, both from shoppers and parents dropping their kids off. Anzac Avenue and the Warrego Highway are very close, which also adds to the noise issues.

Railway Street

"The Middle of Toowoomba"

Railway Street is right next to the railway... funnily enough. It is very close to the centre of town and there are plenty of shops, cafes, and hotels to keep you occupied.

There can be a lot of traffic noise coming from Russell Street.

Burke Street

"Wide Street Near Major Shopping Centre"

Burke Street is a very wide street which is close to the Range Shopping Centre, which has everything for your general shopping needs. It is also close to the Warrego Highway and the Range, so if you live in Toowoomba but work in Brisbane, then Burke Street is the perfect position.

It is near St Joseph's College for high school aged children.

Parkland Close

"Tiny Street with an Amazing View"

Parkland Close is a really small street of about 6 houses, most of which have a great view over the range or the valley below. It also has a lot of bushland across the road.

There is the Leslie Park nearby which has play equipment and a basketball court - perfect for kids.

There are several primary schools within walking distance as well as the High Street Shopping Centre.

"One of the Most Expensive Streets in Queensland"

Because of the amazing ocean views and the vicinity of Main Beach, the houses on the Esplanade often sell for millions of dollars. There are a lot of shops lately, but there is also a lot of traffic, mostly from tourists.

There can also be a lot of noise from the swimmers during the day, but that is part of the charm.

Jennings Street

"Extremely Peaceful Street off the Warrego Highway"

Jennings Street is a really quiet and peaceful street parallel to the Warrego Highway. It is also close to the Federal Hotel and Dan Murphy's Bottle Shop. It is a short walk to a lot of shopping centres as well as service stations and other stores.

There is also some parkland on the Eastern end of Jennings over Kitchener Street.

Wilson Street

"Industrial Hot Spot"

Wilson Street is very close to the centre of Tara, but it is mostly an industrial zone, so there are a lot of trucks and other loud vehicles constantly driving through. There is also the train tracks, which can cause a lot of noise when the trains pass through, which isn't that common.

Walton Street

"Quiet Main Street"

Walton Street is one of the main streets in Meandarra, but it is also very quiet because it is just a small country town. It can get some trucks passing through town.

You can get anywhere by walking in just a few minutes. The communty feel is fantastic, because everyone knows everyone else.

Tara Road

"Short Street in Outer Chinchilla"

Tara Road is a short street in outer Chinchilla. It is close to the Showgrounds, which can cause a lot of traffic and noise at certain times of the year. It is also parallel to the Chinchilla Tara Road which gets a lot of use.

It is a short distance to the centre of town.

Glen Road

"Quiet Street on the River"

Glen Road is a really small street on the Brisbane River. It is very close to Benson Street which becomes Coronation Drive, but doesn't have any noise or traffic problems. It is very peaceful and quiet.

The Toowong Village Shopping Centre is a stones throw away and there is plenty of public transport.

"Amazing Bike Track on the River"

The Clem Jones Promenade must have one of the most amazing views of any bike or walking track in Brisbane. With the river on one side and the South Bank Parklands on the other, it really is a great place to get some exercise.

There can be a lot of people there at several times through the year, such as Riverfire.

Grey St

"Main Street in South Bank"

Grey Street is the main street that goes through South Bank. It has several high end hotels, and a great view of the South Bank Parklands as well as glimpses of the river.

It can be extremely busy, especially during the school holidays. There is a lot of public transport including the Vulture Street Station and the city cat.

Armadale Street

"Close to Uni but lots of hills"

Armade St is very close to the University of Queensland, but it is a hard walk or ride because of the steep hills between them. It is a short walk to the Toowong shopping centre.

The house blocks are quite large with a bushland feel to them.

Dawson Street

"Main Street of Miles"

Dawson Street is the main shopping street of Miles. There is some bushland towards the Northern side, and you can get anywhere in Miles within a few minutes.

It joins onto the end of the Leichhardt Highway, but there isn't much traffic because of that. Most of the traffic is either locals or tourists.

Racecourse Road

"Road Bordering Miles and Racecourse"

Racecourse Road borders the Miles Racecourse, which doesn't actually get used any more. It has a lot of bushland on either side towards the Northern end. There are some new houses being built along it in town.

It is within walking distance to the centre of Miles, so you can get all your shopping done easily.

Actually the races are run every year in February and this year there was a crowd of approx 800 - 900 people, it is a huge community event and is very well run by the local committee. Various functions occur there every year, My husband and I had our wedding there several years ago, it is a great facility.
