The crime rate in Forest Lake is out of control. My house has been broken into twice and so many of my neighbours have been affected too. I do not feel safe living here and raising my family. This suburb has gone to the dogs. I have noticed in the past 4 years how much it has deteriorated - break ins, car break ins and thefts, and the amount of dodgy people hanging around. The expansion of the shopping centre to include Target and Coles seems to have attracted some real low life's to the area. Schools are average, the parks are secluded, not many decent places to eat, small yards and termites like the houses.

I rented here to begin with but got fed up dealing with the real estate so we bought a house. We are now considering selling up so we can raise our children in a safer environment.
