"What a beautiful suburb!"
Great parks, great shops with everything you need yet you get a country feel but not far from the ring Road or Westfield shopping centres!
Great for
- Very clean suburb with lovely people
- Great mix of young and old that are community spirited
- The existing and planned infrastructure is terrific and eliminates the need to go too far
- Urban development with a distinct country feel
- Lovely recreation areas
Not great for
- Traffic congestion

"Not my cup of tea."
A lot of bogans... with commission houses.

The fairview estate has that feel. It's filthy. A budget builder built 70houses and sold them off to investors. 70% of which are rented properties. The area is unkept and most definitely unfriendly. We purchased 12 months ago without doing research and are about to put our house on the market. Mernda is the Bronx of the northern suburbs

Check near Everard road, near mernda villages etc, preston housing commission covers a range of areas, mernda and Doreen included
