Medford Street

"A humble street with a story and a big presence"

It is a very quiet and peaceful street, with low-density houses on substantially large lots on just one side, the other side being the very large green fields of Altona P-9 College. Hence, the houses have fantastic views of greenery from their living rooms and bedrooms.

Great for

  • Quiet and peaceful, with little car and pedestrian traffic
  • Unarguably the safest street in Altona, often patrolled by police.
  • Lush green environment, with wide nature strips, mature trees and large fields.

Altona

"A family-oriented, friendly, peaceful suburbs with lots of nature, parks, biodiversity, arts, sports & cultural heritage."

Altona is low residential density suburb located 13 km southwest of Melbourne CBD and adjacent to Williamstown. It is a bayside suburb, with 1 of only 2 swimmable beaches in the western suburbs, the other being Williamstown Beach. It is rapidly undergoing gentrification, with very $1-2 million+ expensive mansions on the Esplanade fronting the sea, especially those with views of Melbourne CBD and Dandenong Mountain Ranges. It has a village resort feel and the hub Pier Street is increasing becoming chic and trendy, with new cafes and residential developments.
