Good place for families. Public transport is not great but enough. Railway station in Carseldine. Just 6 Km from Westfield Chermside

"City outside Brisbane City"
Chermside got everything. A big employer. Very good shopping centre ( it’s larges in Australia). Two large hospitals. Convenient location to Brisbane CBD and Airport. Both 9 km away. Beautiful parklands. Good schools nearby. Great public access to anywhere. Lot of public transport.

yeah but victoria at the time of your comment had too many victorians there... yuck... sadly as i write this they are all in brisbane.
"Excellent"
Lived here 3 years and moved to west brisbane. I loved this place. Everything nearby, leafy suburb, lots of parks , shopping centre nearby. Great Schools nearby. Best family oriented suburb I lived. Never forget

"It’s not perfect"
I thought it’s a good suburb,but it doesn’t. It’s far from brisbane and peak hours lots of traffic and no public transport. Schools are not good
