Templestowe

"Throw Away The Car Keys!!!!"

After spending my whole life in SE Suburbs, I moved to Templestowe to be close to my daughter and her family. I bought a property on the edge of the village and very rarely take my car out of the garage.
I am a 3 or 4 minute walk to the post office, doctors, dentist, chemist, supermarket, newsagent, hairdressers, nail salon and as for coffee shops there are plenty. The local restaurants include Indian, Mexican, Persian, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Fish & Chips, kebabs and European cuisine.
A 5-6 minute walk gets me to Westerfolds Park which is 123 hectares with walking tracks, BBQ areas, and the Yarra river runs through the park. There are kangaroos galore and I have also seen the occasional koala and the occasional platypus in the river. Its a great place to walk the dog or have a family picnic.
It is pretty amazing that we are only 15 klms from the city and this is all on my doorstep.
There is also a Bowls Club, the Templestowe Pub and RSL
If you dont have a car, there are bus stops through the village which will take you to the city, Doncaster Shopping Town and The Pines Shopping Centre .
Children are catered for also as there are schools, child care centres, and parks, sports grounds, netball courts and basketball centre
Everyone is so friendly, and always while out walking everyone says hello. Its just a great place to live!
