Sunshine

"Thank god for positive people"

Hey guys, I'm so happy I have read great reviews about sunshine. I have lived here for 10 years and have a wonderful community and sence of well being. We have bbq's in our court in December and all the neighbours get on well. My area isnt overly populated with houses and in fact I see the city sky scaper over my balcony which is valueble when New Year's comes around. I often drive by the heritage houses and would love to do reno on one. Going to the city is 10ks it's a breeze.....especially for work.

Great for

  • Need well known shops like Harris Scarf, sportsgirl ect, our demographic's need it.
  • Transport
  • People
  • Close to the City
  • Many Attractive Period Homes and Public Buildings
  • Schools

Not great for

  • Undervalued
  • Not enough nightlife
  • Needs more restaurants
  • Seedy Central Shopping Area That's Unattractive and Uninviting

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • LGBT+
  • Students

Does streetadvisor only allow positive review of sunshine?
do you seriously believe sunshine is a good suburb?

Chining - would you consider St Kilda, Richmond, Port Melbourne to be 'good' suburbs? 20 years ago you wouldn't wanted to have lived there, but as our population grew all these so called dodgy suburbs became gentrified and are now hugely popular. With Sunshine being so close to the city with great public transport links, it will soon change & become a popular area - I've been living here 6 years now & slowly but surely the place is changing. Would love to hear your thoughts on why Sunshine is so bad

Chining I've been living in Sunshine for the 6 years. I moved here because it is close to the city yet affordable. It is undervalued given its reputation. Maybe you just have to wait and see what happens after gentrification.

Chining - wow, your comments are nasty... you leaving, is probably one of the best things to happen to sunshine... we don't need snobs around here.

Snobs? Ha! Melbourne is the most forkable scummy snobs place to be. Coming back was the worst mistake in my life. Lets bulldoze Melbourne all over . Hmmm
