Noble Park

"Don't believe the media hype - See it for yourself"

This suburb really surprised us. Not wanting to believe all we heard from the media about this suburb we moved to Noble Park with an idea to invest our Noble Park property in a few years and buy elsewhere but the suburb suited us so well we decided to stay and raise a family. The facilities are great and although I wouldn't travel on any public transport after dark no matter where I lived, I found the public transport around Noble Park to be reliable and safe whenever I did use it - which was everyday as I travel to the city daily and commute by both bus and train from Noble Park. I have lived in suburbs such as Rowville which have virtually no public transport which meant I could not go anywhere (even to the shopping centre) if I didn't have a car handy. Another aspect of this suburb that we love is the neighbourhood. We have australian, greek, vietnamese, german and mauritian neighbours who are forever bringing over baked goodies and vegetables from their gardens and who will all help out each other without a second thought. We have had our rubbish bins taken in on several occasions and have no worries about telling our neighbours to look after our home and feed our pets when we are on holidays. We have lived in other suburbs and have never experienced this neighbourly generosity and willingness to help each other. We also loved that Noble Park is a close drive to so many different places such as the beach, the dandenong mountains, major shopping centres and even the city is only a half hour drive and with the new freeway this is even quicker. Our kids have grown up here happily and without incident and as parents we can't ask for more. Noble Park is a very large suburb and every suburb has unsafe areas even brighton and st kilda although these are known as 'upmarket' suburbs. Unfortunately the media has contributed to tainting this suburb's friendliness from a few reported incidents which are no more or less than many other suburbs. If you are looking to live in Noble Park - Go for it! It's a great suburb and all property experts have Noble Park on their radars as the next best place to buy a home. I still live here - I know.
