Melville

"I used to be a North of the River person - no more !!"

I love living in Melville. The we are in a very safe area. Close to parks ,schools and shops (Garden City must be one of the best shopping centres in Perth). There are some great places to eat out in Applecross, Myaree , Bicton, Attadale and Fremantle.
I work in the city and it cost me $3.60 to travel to the CBD ( the bus trip from my house to Bullcreek train station is quick and the Mandurah train line is fast and efficient).
The city of Melville is well run by the local government and there are lots of activities and facilities for us to enjoy. The Melville aquatic centre is fabulous! The Melville Recreation centre is great too, it offers everything from aerobics, step classes, gym, basketball, netball, and touch footy. There is a very large and well equiped library adjacent to the centre as well as the Tennis club.

It's always quite a quick trip by car to the city and is has river views for most of the trip.
During footy season we drive to Subi a lot and it is quite easy to get there from Melville.
If I didn't want to drive I could also catch a bus to Fremantle and then the train to Subiaco.

I love it here South of the River, we spend lots of our weekends walking along the river or picnicking next to the river. I also ride my pushbike along the riverside biketrack nwhich connects Fremantle to the CBD.

Now that I'm here I would never leave.
