"Fantastic quiet suburb close to CBD"
Fairfield is a little undiscovered gem in Brisbane's inner south. Only a short trip to the CBD (with excellent bus and train links) its also close to other big employers - the Mater hopsitals, the PA hospital and the University of Queensland. Because Fairfield and Yeronga are nestled in a loop of the river, there's no through traffic - only local. Kids play on the streets etc. There are loads and loads of parks, playgrounds and sporting fields (soccer, cricket and Aussie Rules). Finally, the local shopping centre - Fairfield Gardens- is clean and inviting with a nice Coles and some good specialty shops, and an excellent local library.

U love it i take it!
I ca n only assume noisycoaltrains yiu on't own a dog, partner or a flood free house that is near the river then
Fairfield is a great place to live if you are over 60, no kids, don't want to eat out, and want to have everything close at 6pm. Fairfield Gardens lack a good coffee shop, a nursery, some vibrancy and a name clothes outlet ie Jeans West like there was when it first opened. 95 out of 100? No way - more like an 80% suburb, and I have lived there for 75% of my life > 30 years.
