"So happy we left"

We purchased a house in Moorookyle estate back in 2011 and lived there for 7 years. At first we were so happy. Lots of families at the parks and friendly neighbours. Over the years it just continued to decline drastically. Moorookyle estate was left unusable by my family as teens would terrorise the club house. We were robbed and on a seperate occasion had people banging on our doors and windows in the middle of the night. We felt very unsafe. We couldn't take our children to the local Mcdonalds because of the amount of teenagers getting in fights and vandalising cars in the intersection in front. Local schools have an excessive amount of children per year level and everything is strictly zoned so you don't get a choice of where to send them. The traffic is also horrendous. Was getting way to hard to get anywhere. Massive difference from when we first moved there. We are so happy we moved. Such a huge difference in lifestyle.

Really? Which McDonalds are you speaking about? I take my teenagers to the local McDonalds every weekend and have never seen any fights or cars vandalised? Was this maybe a one off incident? It would be good to give more information so people know what you are talking about. Thank you.

I agree. You can feel it is dangerous just by driving around the area but you pay for what you get

Ye please give more information. What on earth are you talking about? Any McDonalds after hours is a place for youngsters but you say vandalism? Ive been here 5 years and never felt unsafe or seen anything unusual. Each for there own. Good luck!

It is a safe community in Tarneit. I have never witnessed this. I have been to Williams Landing McDonalds and seen a few rowdy people but not in Tarneit.

Yes it is a very safe community. Of course there are many young families and some with teenagers here but I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in Tarneit or even felt unsafe. I walk my dogs in the night and people are always pleasant and say hello. Break ins happen in all melbourne suburbs, the city of wyndham is the fastest developing in melbourne and Tarneit is huge, you can travel 38kms and still be in Tarneit. I think there are more chances to get broken into if you live in the newly developed areas with no neighboors.
