I’ve lived here for 17 years and have watched this area grow . Recently , a new aquatic centre has been built with a gym on the premises . There are another two within 5 min drive from me . Shopping choices a plentiful and I’ve found a private florist who does beautiful work for reasonable cost .I live within walking distance to the Greenways park which has wonderful facilities for children and adults to exercise . Having two dogs , we have a choice of 3 off leash areas which is rare in Brisbane . There is traffic calming in my area so it’s not practical for the hoons and for which I’m grateful . I can’t comment on the schools because my children had finished school when I moved here . I enjoy waking up to the Bluewrens who often visit as well as the many lorikeets and butterflies . The walking tracks are wonderful and plentiful to choose from.The soil is good and it’s easy to grow fruit and vegetables .I’ve read a number of reviews and it appears the cons depend on which part of Parkinson you live. I chose Parkinson to build because the home insurance rates were lower due to the reduced crime rates and I believe , still are . It’s not for the city person who wants to socialise often . I worked near the city for 23 years & lived in Parkinson for 17 of them . I wouldn’t change a thing . Love it here .
