Truganina

"lived in westbourne estate for 9 years."

I bought in Truganina in October 2007 for $235K . townhouse on own land 3br 2 bth 1GR . considering what been selling around me now estimate value $380-$390 K . At first there was very little to offer in the area . Point cook town Centre was land . Marquands rd was a dirt track and the rail line was just an idea. So I have seen it all . One thing I will say is when I first bought her people would say " Truganina ... where's that ? " but it is quite well known now and property prices are really moving . House across road from me sold in Sept 2015 fro $335k and now sold last week For $390k . (3 br unit .) Things have really started moving in terms of infrastructure and shops etc. I see there's a new shopping centre planned for corner of Forsythe and leakes Rd and the latest 2017 Melways shows a " proposed Truganina rail station . There are problems with all areas and I think one of the bonuses of this area is to my knowledge there is none or very little housing commission homes. Most people work in the area and I feel very safe here . There was a time when Truganina was described as one of the cheapest arears to buy in Melbourne , those days are gone and houses are regularly selling between $550 K -$700 K . I think once its all finished and all land is sold it will be a really nice area . No regrets from me buying here . I was renting in Kew before and the traffic was horrendous and trams everywhere were a pain.

If you bought anywhere else in Melbourne in 2007 you would have tripled your purchase price at least by now
