"St. Vincent st. Ashgrove on Oakleigh Park"

No1. Ashgrove Street : My favourite quiet street in Ashgrove with the houses backing onto what seems to be a locals only, extremely beautiful Oakleigh Park. The younger and older school aged children who are only ever from the surrounding houses play happily in the newly built play ground equipment in Oakleigh Park as well as on the flat green space to play soccer, cricket and basketball on the court as well as safely running up and down the well maintained established cement footpaths. This street is perfect as you have the catchment only Oakleigh State Primary School only 150 metres away from the back gate yet no school traffic or parking. Oakeigh State School is a fantastic high academic standard medium sized state/ public primary school with fantastic facilities including a 25m pool oval with a newly built C & K Pre-Prep/ Preschool onsite as well as new state of the art large library along with its own ampitheatre! You also have Marist Brothers College 400 metres away which is a boys years 5 to 12 school with its own brand new 50 metre olympic pool (with its squads open to all local school children at lower intermediate squad level & above ) along with numerous ovals and academic opportunities! Mt. St. Michaels is a catholic girls school from year 7 to 12 school which is also walking distance of around 800 metres and is an excellent academic school. Express Bus services run very regularly at a nearby bustop, getting you to the city in 10 to 15 minutes which beats parking. Local cafe highly rated Frasers Cafe is only a short walk away along with Dorrington Park with it’s Enchanted Forrest Playground. Recommend driving down this street and taking sometime to enjoy the beautiful Fig tree lined Oakleigh Park out the back. Serenity!
