We bought in Ipswich (Newtown - CBD /historic area). We moved here because of house prices, beautiful Queenslanders at reasonable prices to Brisbane (30 mins away). We had family try and tell us not to buy out here (has a historical stigma), but since visiting regularly have completely changed their minds. CBD is being renovated and historic buildings being renovated too. Fantastic schools, parks, cafes/restaurants and shops. Check it out!
