Night life and safety is a bit of a concern. Driving preferred instead of walking - especially when accompanying young ones.

Home to a well-maintained train station, Ashfield boasts a range of eateries with the availability of a shopping mall. Affordable apartment blocks a plenty - though not ideal for the young, sophisticated couple - many in need for a makeover. Traffic is quite busy through the suburb and safety is a bit of a concern.

Nice area with parks and various other forms of recreation. Though, distant from train lines or shopping centres. Driving or public buses are a must for travel. Townhouses are relatively affordable, though most lack a view. Traffic to and from the city is mostly undesireable, considering the fastest route is via Victoria Rd.

Great atmosphere and friendly neighbourhood. An excellent investment for expected increases in median house prices. One of the most well respected areas in the Northern suburbs.
