With work I have lived and worked in many suburbs around Brisbane and North Queensland.
It is by far the best suburb in Brisbane but I dont like to tell to many people that, Or they will all want a piece of it.
Yes there's an extra 20 minutes to get any where. But 20 minute take you further away from that summer ocean breeze we get nearly every night.
Theres not to many suburbs in Brisbane you can walk along the water front. If you have a boat you can be on a beach all to your self with in the matter of minutes.
Put the boat in the water head to the Gold Coast or stop at the many Resturants that have boat facilities on the way.
I know numerous people that elect to travel by bus every day to the city for work.
Buses run from Redie Bay to Cleveland if you need a train.
