Upper Coomera

"Growing Upper Coomera"

I have worked as a real estate agent in Upper Coomera for a number of years and write this review for people not familiar with the suburb.

Upper Coomera is one of the 4 suburbs that make up the 4209 post code and is massive in its own right and it continues to grow in population size every year however it seems to be at a steadier pace these days than the explosive growth happening in Pimpama & Coomera recently.

Located on the western side of the M1 and having benefited by the recent upgrade to the exit 49 on & off ramp it is very accessible and central for getting to either Brisbane or the Gold Coast beaches or Hinterland.

It is made up of a large number of housing estates which includes popular areas such as Coomera Springs, Coomera Retreat, The Landings and Highland Reserve which consist mainly of freestanding homes. In addition there are many townhouse complexes spread throughout the area as well as a healthy mix of duplexes giving new and existing residence a wide range of property types to choose from.

The area has great choice of restaurants, take away outlets, shopping centres, all the major super market retailers and multiple private and public schools available to choose from.

Public transport is accessible and there is a Community Centre with public library and swimming pool and four of the Gold Coast's theme parks & attractions just one suburb away.

Bodacious Terrace

"Kids still play in the street..."

As a real estate agent I have listed and sold property in Bodacious Terrace, Pimpama and this review is based on knowing a number of owners who have purchased and sold in the street over the last few years.

I find properties are generally really well presented in the street but what really stands out for me about Bodacious Terrace is the fact that whenever I conduct an open for inspection or I am visiting an owner or tenant, there is almost always a number of kids outside playing together in the road.

Bodacious Terrace is located in the Hawthorne Woods Estate in Pimpama which is an older more established section of the suburb and is a very family friendly community with many owners choosing to upgrade or downgrade within the estate. Hawthorne Woods is located on the western side of the M1 and many properties in this part of Pimpama tend to have larger blocks than the newer higher density developments in the area.

There are pleasant walkways in the area and a lovely park at the end of the street making it well suited for families. Easy access to the M1 motorway makes the location midway between Brisbane & the Gold Coast lifestyle attractions very convenient.

Coomera

"Coming to Coomera"

This review is based on being a real estate agent who has worked in the area for a number of years.

As one of 4 suburbs in the 4209 post code, Coomera is one of the fastest growing suburbs in Queensland in terms of population growth. As with other high growth areas it has experienced some growing pains in the form of infrastructure struggling to keep pace with the population boom happening.

One of the biggest pain points many residence experienced was traffic congestion, this has been addressed recently with the recent upgrade of the M1 motorway on and offramp at exit 49 and the widening of Foxwell Road. These road upgrades tied in with the completion of stage one of the brand new Westfield Shopping Centre Coomera that has brought a host of new shopping, dining & entertainment choice to the area.

Coomera has great lifestyle features on it's doorstep being well located halfway between Brisbane & the Gold Coast, it is also fortunate to be home to Dreamworld and White Water World theme parks and the new indoor sports centre which was completed as part of the facilities for the Gold Coast Common Wealth Games in 2018.

Being a large suburb with multiple estates as well as older more established sections and newer higher density developments it caters to a wide vary of housing needs which includes your typical suburban 3 & 4 bedroom family home, small & large townhouse complexes, duplex properties and security and gated estates offering amazing lifestyle features such as waterfront living, communal swimming pool & club houses to name just a few.

Families are well catered for with a choice of schools including public and private schools with the newly completed St Josephs College Coomera and with Coomera Station right across the road from Westfield Coomera it offers great accessibility.

Moonie Drive

"Family friendly street"

I am familiar with Moonie Drive, Coomera because as a real estate agent I have listed and sold property in this street.

Many of the property owners I know or have represented in Moonie Drive purchased brand new around 10 years ago and those who sold have said they were very happy there until their needs or circumstances changed.

The owners of my most recent sale have two young children who both attended Coomera Rivers State School until they recently moved. They and their children developed close friendships with a number of neighbours many of whom also have young kids who all play together outside, this gives the street a sense of close community.

In addition to Coomera Rivers State School there are a number of other schools within walking distance of Moonie Drive, this includes the new Picnic Creek State School, the brand new St Josephs College private school, the brand new Foxwell State High School and Early Learning Centre Coomera.

Pimpama

"High growth suburb"

I have never lived in Pimpama however I have worked as a real estate agent in the area for a number of years. I write this review with the intention of providing someone who is not familiar with the area an overview of the suburb and hope it is useful in some way.

Pimpama has been labelled one of the fastest growing suburbs in the country in terms of population growth. Located on the northern end of the Gold Coast it has the benefit of being an easy commute to either Brisbane and the Gold Coast's many lifestyle attractions.

The high population growth is no doubt being fuelled by the incredible amount of residential & commercial development happening in the area, with high growth naturally comes a certain amount of growing pains which in Pimpama has included infrastructure development struggling to keep pace with the population growth.

That said there is a large number of infrastructure projects that have either been completed recently, is currently under construction or been approved and soon to be commenced. This includes widening of important roads to alleviate congestion, completion of new schools and shopping centres, approval for a Pimpama Train Station and construction of a new Sporting & Aquatic centre to name just a few.

As a large suburb that stretches across both sides of the M1 it offers a wide range of housing options with certain sections of the suburb being older and more established and others very new and higher density. As a result you have a massive selection of freestanding 3 & 4 bedroom houses, townhouse complexes, duplexes and upmarket estates some featuring lifestyle facilities such as swimming pool, club house and golf course.

With so much growth, development and choice whether you are looking for your first home, to upgrade or downsize, a sea change or an investment property to buy or rent - Pimpama continues to be a popular choice for those comfortable with taking advantage of the area's growth, affordability and central location in exchange for some growing pains that comes with the territory (most of which is currently being addressed).
