SOMA

"Accessibility, great eats, great neighborhood!"

If you're a young professional looking for an ideal place to hang your hat in San Francisco, SOMA is the place to be. Not the 24-hour-party of The Mission or Castro, and not the snooty, yuppie-choked Nob Hill or Hayes Valley, SOMA is an excellent blend of great restaurants, slick condos and apartments, and quick access to everything you love about San Francisco. While it can be a bit noisy, and there's some heavy commute traffic rolling through the 'hood in the mornings and early evenings, there's enough to do in the area to keep any active soul occupied ad infinitum.

Inner Richmond

"As quiet as it gets in the big city"

The Inner Richmond is a big agglomeration of peaceful, friendly, highly walkable neighborhoods half an hour from downtown San Francisco. It's quiet and residential, but you're never more than a 10-minute walk from a grocery store, laundromat, hardware store, bakery, and video store. And -- thanks to Clement St. -- there's also a limitless supply of good dim sum, sushi, and Korean barbecues. For outdoor lovers, no place is more than a short walk to Golden Gate Park or the Presidio! A lot of people seem to think of the Richmond as a far-off suburb, but it’s got great public transit. You can take the Muni to downtown in about 30 minutes, anytime of day or night, and there are also several bus lines that run to the Soma area. The only negative here is that there isn’t a BART station within easy reach – you have to take the bus either east to Civic Center or south to Glen Park.

Financial District

"Working In the Financial District"

This is a nice area to work in close to the BART, Trollys and Buses. It can get loud sometimes but then again that is the city for you. This area has a few outdoor open eating places which is nice if you bring your own lunch to work you are not stuck eating indooors, not to mention pleanty of wonderful restaraunts (some of San Francisco's finest. Although there are a few homeless in the area not nearly as many as I have seen in other areas and they pretty much keep to themselves. I really enjoy working in this are as there are so many diverse people and interesting people is you just stop and take the time to talk and be friendly, it seems like so many people here are just in a rush but every once in a while some takes the time to have a brief conversation which makes it nice.

Montague Pl

"Living amongst the best views in the world"

Montague Place, in the Telegraph Hill district of SF, means living with a lot of tourists who like to walk the city, especially up to Coit Tower. You are paying for the view in our area, but what a view, particularly back down Montgomery to the city. While it's an expensive area to live, I would not live anyplace else. We do get the occasional homeless person but thats true of almost all of SF these days. Walking distance to great restaurants and lounges (Bubble is my fav).
