Mount Druitt

"Not so bad but not great"

I've lived here a while now. Its not a bad investment if your thinking of buying. Its one of the few realistically priced suburbs left in Sydney. That is why i live here. It's a quiet place but elements of its famous past sadly still remain. Better policing around the train station, a more responsive council cleanup service, or enforced fines for dumping outside of your home, and a street sweeper would do wonders for this community. There is also a lot of car crime in cretin pockets of the community.

At the end of the day it has its problems like all outer western suburban communities do with the added benefit of that sinking feeling when someone asks where you live, and the blank stare you typicality get as a response. If you can get over that then Mt Druitt is a perfectly fine community, one of the few places worth buying in western Sydney
