Edens Landing

"Great community spirit"

The people are lovely and have a great community spirit. Even the local police beat gets involved in Christmas and Halloween activities and drops by the school to say hi to the kids. Some of the higher density living areas like the streets with lots of town houses tend to cop a bad wrap. But my street is mostly owner occupied and everyone seems to have a lot of house pride and keeps their yards maintained. As well as you'll always get a friendly wave as you drive past each other on the street. There is a lovely walking track through the nature strip. Lots of kids riding around on their bikes and scooters on the weekend and there is a local skate park next to the football club. ive never had any issues with children in the area; all the ones ive come across have been very polite. The local shops are in need of some tlc but they have the best sushi around and the couple that owns the fish and chip shop will give you a warm welcomming if you're a regular, which makes up for the shabby exterior in my opinion. The local spar is over priced like any convenience store but woolworths at holmview is right across the main road at the end of Castille Cres. The Holmview shops have some really good resturants and a great little bakery. Beenleigh shops are only an extra 5 minute drive away if you need a Big W or a sneaky slice of Cheesecake from the Cheesecake shop.
Could do with some more bus services in the area to be fair but there is always the train line if you dont mind not being on the express line. Otherwise, Beenleigh station again is a five minute drive away and is on the express line or Logan hyperdome is a 12 minute drive away and has multiple express bus lines to the city.

The only bad things I can honestly say about the area is unfortunately its reputation proceeds it. Beenleigh and Logan in general have unfortunately been stuck with a reputation that is quite frankly outdated and narrow minded.

And 2. There arn't a lot of options in the way of academically exceptional public schools. Most public schools in the area are pretty dissapointing but in saying that the parents who send their kids to Edens Landing rave about how much their kids love it there.
