"Handy Location"

I love where Blackburn is situated.
I work in and around Blackburn completing roofing repairs and roof restorations.
I find it to be a very central suburb and very well serviced by public transport and shops.
Also close enough to the city.

Bayswater

"Clean Air"

Nothing beats the great big green blocks of Bayswater!
Big allotments, clean air, and plenty to do make Bayswater a great place for the family.
It can get quite cold in winter though :(
I own a roof restoration company and work in this area regularly.

"Great Suburb"

Hi there, I agree with all the other positive comments on Templestowe.
It is a lovely suburb with beautiful green surroundings and hilly streets.
Starting to get rather pricey though.
I have a roof restoration company and often work in and pass through Templestowe.
Definately in my top 20 suburbs.

Airport West

"Good freeway acsess"

Airport West is a good central suburb with excelent freeway accses. It has many parks, schools and shops, with Keilor rd only hop skip and jump away.

It's only draw back is the industrial side of the suburb further up towards Westfield.
All in all, a great suburb and worth it's sharp price rise of late.

Phil

Agree with Phil - however the industiral area shpouldn't be a put off. Essendon Fields has rejuvenated the suburb - it's more aligned to Airport West than Essendon. Lots of young families and a hard pocket to now buy into. Self sufficient suburb that doesn't need to rely on the so called 'wanna be areas' to increase prices. A great pocket of Moonee Valley!

There is no high school in Airport West the closest is Buckley Park, which strangely states that Airport West Students are not in the Zone.

kylie-barkerk

There is Essendon keilor college bid drive campus which us on the airport west side of the freeway in airport west.

Eltham

"Could live here very easily!"

After doing several roof restorations in the eltham area my wife and i almost made a big change. We came very close to moving to this beautiful place and looked at serveral properties on the market. The houses are all on nice big blocks and the surrounding are hilly and green. The shops and coffee shops in main road were lovely. If it wasnt for needing to be close to my employees in regards to transport Eltham would have been of serious consideration. We loved it!

Footscray

"So Central!"

West Footscray is booming and one can understand why when it is only a hop, skip and jump to the melbourne CBD. It has great facilities and just litterly afew minutes and you are in footscray which has the footscray market and great places to eat at. West footscray is quiet leafy considering its proximity to the city and has some great parks. I have done several jobs restroring rooves in this area and i (from the west) rate this suburb highly.

Regard Phil.

Taylors Lakes

"Great family suburb"

I have a roof restoration company and work all around melbourne. I have recently done several jobs in the taylors lake area. With many of these jobs i work well into the late afternoon and in Taylors Lakes I noted their were so many people out and about in the evening walking dogs and children in the street playing. Having a young family this was of great appeal. The houses were all quiet nice and the people i did jobs for raved about the suburb.

Phil

Altona

"Up and coming"

If your looking for a trendy up and coming beach suburb, Altona cant be over looked.
I have a roof restoration company, and often work in and around Altona. The suburb is quickly following in the footsteps of its neighboring suburb Willy for its trendy cafés and upmarket nightspots and shops.

Its only drawback would be the refinery's in the distance which must be passed through to get there.

Altona Meadows

"Nice big blocks"

I have a Roof Restoration company and often quote and work in Altona Meadows.
The roofs in this area are starting to need some attention as the houses are getting on to the ten year old mark.
I like altona Meadows for the block and street sizes. Also shopping is not too far away, and the bay beach only a short drive away.

The only draw back for me would be the traffic at times.

Phil

Phil, yes traffic can be a problem. In terms of the roofs, I had my roof recently done after 32 years.

"Great place to live"

Hi guys, being in the Roof Restoration industry, i visit many suburbs.
Abbotsford proves to be a lovely quiet suburb and situated close to the cbd, makes it very handy for commuting. Also lots of shops close by.

The houses in the area differ quite considerately, which gives it a unique feel.

A highly reccomended surburb in my opinion.

Maidstone

"Great place if you can get in!!"

We brought in Maidstone 3 years ago and so glad we did!
Close to everything, inluding a 10 min drive to the city. Traffic flows well at peak times which is a big plus.

We wanted to buy an investment property but people seem to be catching on to Maidtsone.
