Auburn

"Good place for a Family"

Moved from south eastern suburbs to Auburn last year.I don't know why some people try to give Auburn a bad name in some of their reviews. I think Auburn has good shops including ALDI, Woolworths,Coles,BigW,Harvey Norman,Good Guys, Bunnings and also restaurants which are open late unlike some expensive suburbs in east and north sydney where after 5pm will become a ghost town. There is new Auburn hospital City West Medical centre and many other medical centres and some new good private schools. At first people might seem to you different because they come from diverse ethnic backgrounds but they are all good people. The gangs, drugs or shootings is just over exaggerated by media and some racially motivated people from outside Auburn who have nothing to do with this town. Auburn also has a Library swimming pools, gyms and a big police station so you can feel safe. There is a Botanic garden and a lot of parks with playgrounds for children, There is a beautiful big Mosque near the train station . Auburn is a very multicultural and diverse suburb so it has religious places for people from many faiths. The Auburn Council is very good they enforce parking restrictions and maintain the roads and collect all the garbage unlike some other suburbs give them to subcontractors who are not any better than Auburn council. You just get used to this suburb and get rid off all of your prejudice if you only try to stop thinking that you are better or different than other people.
