Auburn

"Auburn is affordable suburb cheap dentists/doctors"

2.5 years in Auburn now, i moved from crowsnest to Auburn as i could afford a townhouse here. The suburb itself has a lot of posh large homes. Just drive in suburban streets for yourself and you will see people with luxury cars and boats outside their homes. The main Auburn shopping area and apartments next to it are not as clean as nice suburbs in north shore. But you can get bargains in shopping.
The food is great too. Auburn has a mixture of low economic class to middle class.
The only pet hate i have is drivers being aggressive on changing lanes to not waiting for you on round abouts.
The demographics are getting to Chinese from Turkish and Lebanese backgrounds. This means property values are gradually increasing.
Auburn and Lidcombe area has mosques, churches and temples making this area very multicultural.
I would encourage families or aussie battlers looking to buy their first property to try Auburn.
There is no driveby shootings or robberies out of control as some people above have given bad reviews for reasons i dont know.
Perhaps if you have a very high incone you can get an overpriced house in north shore. But for rest of us Auburn provides affordable apartments or townhouses only 24km from sydney CBD.

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids

Thanks to the poor state of the central shopping area, food is relatively cheap. Once they decide to beautify the town centre, prices will probably rise accordingly.
