How much deposit???
I am thinking of buying a property in country Victoria as an investment..... as i live in QLD i don't know how much or little deposit i can get away with.... in QLD deposits are unregulated.... where can i find some info about victoria?

It is my understanding that deposits are the same through out the country depending on it being country or metropolitan. If you are buying in metropolitian areas deposits can be as low as 3-5%. As for rural Australia you are looking at 30-40% depending on the location exactly. Having said that many banks nowdays are refusing to lend in particular areas all together best to find what you want and run a purchase scenario through your finance provider.
Failing that if you can give me some particular postcodes I can find out for you ASAP. All I need is the postcode and or suburb.
