"Plain jane of suburbs"
More so industrial then residential. What you do get is affordable housing sorrounded by mostley industrial land. There are schools and local shops altho bigger shopping centers are located in fairfield which is only a train stop away from yenorra. Other then that you shouldnt expect too much.

"Oasis in the city - great for kids with schools and parks handy."
Was orchards until houses took over after WW2. Most residents built and stayed but the little old ladies are being replaced by new families who build large new houses on the large blocks.
Excellent for young families who want space and a garden - the soil is excellent and there is a good choice of primary schools and pre schools including a Montessori kindergarten.
Well served by frequent trains and buses. A good Thai restaurant has recently opened.
