I've seen your other comments about Berwick and you seem very knowledgeable about the area and I'm interested to hear your thoughts on my situation and generally a bit more about the 'best' areas and anything really else that you know. I'd also like to thank you for your answers so far (even if they weren't directly to me, they've been very helpful). My budget is around $875-$900k for a largish 3BR and I'm wondering what (outside of the most top end areas that will be out of my budget) are the best estates (in order of appeal) in Berwick. At the moment I'm kind of looking in the area a little bit above the Highway and just below Ernst Wanke Rd (around Avebury Drv) and also the area just below O'Shea Rd (around Viewgrand Drv). But I'm not necessarily looking at those areas because of any great strategy that I'd considered, it's just more that the properties that I'm interested in (and come up on my price range) seem to generally be in those areas. The truth is, I don't really have much of an idea about Berwick and would benefit from the advice of somebody who has a great idea. I'd be a bit disappointed it I stuffed it up (a little bit) and bought in the wrong area thinking it was a good area (based on my gut alone) or let a house go for the sake of $5k or $10k more because I wasn't aware that the location was fantastic. Unless I look at a map of Berwick, I can't instinctively tell when things are situated in respect of all the areas like I can with the suburbs I grew up and have lived in my whole life. I don't even really know where'd you want to be near and for what reason (outside of the basics like schools and supermarkets etc.). Anyway, other than what are the best estates/areas, whatever you think would be useful information/advice for a youngish couple looking to start a small family, I'm be more than happy to hear it! Thanks cr2!
