Being so close to the city it is ideal for professionals and young families and has 3 schools approximately 500m away Footscray High School(Kinnear Campus,Barkley Campus and Footscray Primary School)
Commercial Rd location and street appeal makes it arguably one of if not the best streets in Footscray.

Commercial Road is close to absolutely everything in Footscray and the CBD. Only a 10 minute drive into the city, but with shopping, markets and restuarants only a short stroll away. The local schools have a great track record and reputation, and there is a great primary school right on Commercial Road! Footscray park - with gorgeous views over the Flemington Racecourse and views of the CBD - is only a 5 minute walk away. People are friendly and approachable and neighbourly without being a nuisance. A wonderful part of Melbourne!

Commercial Road sounds like a busy thoroughfare, but it is quite the opposite. Access is blocked to through traffic. There is a gorgeous old bluestone public primary school on the corner right at the end of the street. The wide street is lined with established elm trees and there is plenty of grass and nearby parkland.Most of the houses are ornate victorians. It is within walking distance to Footscray restaurants, and historical Footscray park and Flemington racecourse. Having lived here for 2 years, I couldn't recommend it highly enough - undoubtedly the best street in Footscray.
