Is it safe to live in Craigmore?

Nowhere is really safe from burglaries. We have never been burgled and where we live is quiet. If the land is in a newer part of Craigmore you should be fine regarding drug addicts but you can get drug addicts and burglaries in fancy areas too. I had cars stolen at West Lakes and Glenelg while visting there but have never had one stolen from our home or northern shopping centres. Blakes Crossing is a new area next door to Craigmore which you might like. The technology (internet) would be far better than what you will get in Craigmore currently. My tip for you would be to install roller shutters right round the house including over sliding glass doors if you want to feel completely safe. I would recommend that to anyone no matter what suburb they live in. On top of saving energy by keeping heat out in summer and cold out in winter, it's a deterrent to burglars. Alarms aren't that costly these days either and the alarm strobe lights out the front would also be a deterrent to would-be thieves. Munno Para is a great Shopping Centre and has Coles and Foodland plus Kmart. At the moment it's fairly easy to get parks there in the early part of the week and its not as busy as Elizabeth shops which I like. Blakes Crossing has a new Woolies store. Most things we need we can get at Munno Para and surrounding areas and only occasionally have to go to Elizabeth.
Couldn't agree more with Craigmore2000's sentiment. I lived in Rose Park and it was the only place I've lived where we constantly had used syringes in the front garden and problems with drug use at the local school playground!
The safety thing is also an anywhere thing - we were ransacked in Rose Park but were never burgled in Elizabeth! All areas have crime issues, it's how you deal with them and manage your expectations that will decide the outcome :)
