I wouldn't wear non-crystal-studded UGGs.
Are Uggs good for anything else? I was thinking, for training vicious dogs - you put them on your hand and they can't bite through. I certainly wouldn't put them on my feet.
I do have a pair of furry-lined black ankle boots (NOT Uggs) and they're nice and warm. Possibly the comfort factor is worth the aesthetic...discomfort?
